Delicious Veggie Pizza!
Who doesn’t love pizza? Many of us do, but even more of us avoid pizza because we are afraid of the calorie and fat content. Others eat it knowing the potential health hazard and deal with the issue later, lol. Trust me I understand both angles of the pizza argument. But here is the thing; nobody should have to live without pizza. Nobody. Here and there, I do treat myself to delivery pizza…because there is room for fun in this lifestyle. But this recipe right here, it a 2 fold treat! Its pizza and its healthy, which makes it guilt free.
I have to give credit to my mom for being inspired to create this “personal pan” pizza. While looking through a recipe book she came across some build your own pizzas. So we got the ingredients and built our own super yummy and healthy pizzas.
What you need:
Organic Naan bread
Pizza sauce
Spinach
Red onion, sliced
Roasted tomatoes, 4-5
Mushrooms slices, handful
Olives, 1-2 tablespoon
Artichokes, 3-5 diced
Red pepper flakes
Garlic powder
Organic cheese * optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place naan on a baking sheet or pan
Spoon pizza sauce onto bread evenly.
Add vegetable toppings
Sprinkle red pepper flakes and garlic powder on top
Place in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes
After 20 minutes allow your pizza to cool before enjoying! Please make a note that you can build your pizza any way you like with your most favorite toppings. Whatever you add, it is definitely a lot healthier for you than ordering take out!
