Detox Cravings
I am on day 6 (half way done yay) of my Wild Rose Derbal DTOX and I would be lying if I said I can’t wait to have a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and cheesecake. I usually don’t have strong cravings for anything, unless it’s around “that time” so the feeling is really intense.
The cravings for sugar and meat started around day 3. And there has been one or two instances when my hunger level was that of a ravenous dog. When I get cravings I completely shift my thoughts before I even have time to daydream. I grab a plum or something sweet. Even cashews have the ability to curb my cravings because they are slightly sweet…raw cashews that is.
I will blame the ravenous dog issue on me, because there have been times when I get so busy I forget I haven’t eaten enough and then I feel weak. When detoxing you have to constantly have easy to eat food items ready. And when its mealtime you have to make sure the meal is filling. If you don’t you run the risk of giving into cravings etc.
The only thing that curbs my desire for wine is remembering why I started this detox in the first place AND replacing my glass with lavender tea each night. As a whole I am very happy with the way that I feel right now. Aside from the sugar and meat cravings I am very happy please with the results so far.
As I sit here typing this it only seems right that I sip wine in between my thoughts lol…but instead I am boiling my tea water now. Oh by the way, I won’t be eating any cheesecake after the detox is over, no worries!
